How a bedtime story turned into a book and a game: the journey of Shokan Dice
It all started as a simple bedtime story. My son loved magical creatures, and one night I imagined a cheerful green dragon named Shokan - who teaches friendship, kindness, and love for nature.
What began as a tale grew into something more:
📚 a colorful picture book adventure,
🎮 a wholesome mobile game with no ads,
and a whole world where kids can learn just by playing.
Why we built this
Today, so many kids’ apps are filled with ads and in-app purchases. I wanted to make something different:
- no ads
- no paywalls
- a story children will remember
- and characters they’ll fall in love with
Bridging books and games
Shokan Dice became a true hybrid:
📖 a book with soft illustrations and a gentle story about friendship and ecology
🎲 a game where kids roll dice, battle quirky opponents, and help Shokan save the enchanted forest
